Gwen Davies

Gwen Davies translates from Welsh into English. She has translated the fiction of Caryl Lewis whose work is alliterative, poetic and embedded with accumulative symbolism. She is also co-translator of Robin Llywelyn's science fiction novel White Star.

She is interested in translating writing that matches the power of these authors, with strong characterisation, stylistic language and sophisticated narrative. She is also interested in colloquial speech within narrative and dialogue.
