Poet Barbara Pogacnik in Borth

Wales Literature Exchange is organising a special event in March 2010 to mark a visit to Wales by a poet and translator from Slovenia.

Barbara Pogacnik is spending a month’s residency during March 2010 at the National Writers’ Centre in Llanystumdwy, Gwynedd.

At a public event on Tuesday 9 March 2010, she will talk about her work with poet Damian Walford Davies from Aberystwyth.

Te event will be held at 8.00pm at Ynyswen, Borth, and a limited number of tickets are available to buy through post@walesliterature.org.

Local chef Rhodri Edwards will be preparing food for the occasion and a selection of short films showcasing WLE Bookshelf writers will be shown.

Translators’ House Wales is a joint venture between Wales Literature Exchange and Ty Newydd National Writers’ Centre, in collaboration with Literature Across Frontiers, HALMA and Academi.
